Some people associate fall with pumpkin drinks, corduroy and earthy shades. In golf, it is usually the time of team competitions. It is the most prestigious of all. Ryder Cup Solheim Cup pits the best players in the United States against the best in Europe. And you know what that means, it’s time to break out the red, white and blue.

Nike‘s opportunity to do just that has arrived via the Air Max 1 Golf. The patriotic take on the ‘86 OG runner pays homage to the late September tournaments with the words “Prestige. Tradition. Passion.” inscribed on the blue insoles. Continuing with the theme, metallic-red covers the full length mudguards instead of the usual suede material. A star motif is also used to decorate the toe box and Swooshes. The final touch is a mix of royal and Navy Blue accents on top of the off-white quarter panel base.

We’ll keep you updated when a release date surfaces for the pair. Watch the Solheim Cup, which takes place this weekend, and the Ryder Cup that will take place at the end the month to find out if any players are wearing a pair.
