According to reports, Konnan, a WCW icon, will induct Rey Mysterio at the ceremony that will take place the night before Wrestlemania. Mysterio requested Konnan, and the WWE agreed to his request.
Rey Mysterio Sr has always credited Konnan with his pro-wrestling career. He first met Konnan when he was just 11 years old. Konnan trained with Mysterio’s uncle, Rey Mysterio Sr, and helped the now-WWE star land a spot in WCW. Rey Mysterio named Konnan his godfather after their shared experience in wrestling and as a tag team in WCW.
Konnan will induct Rey into the Hall of Fame. Rey requested him, and the company agreed to it. Last night, I was forced to make that choice because it was the only one.
