With Summer time quick approaching, Japanese artisan footwear and leather-based items model Hender Scheme previews a brand new fashion of Caterpillar sandals in collaboration with Vibram.

The open-toe mannequin incorporates a cork footbed, thick pre-formed cowhide strap, and customized Kamaboko (a Japanese fish cake) Vibram soles that are light-weight, abrasion resistant, and ultra-grippy with grooves resembling the semicylindrical loaves they’re named after. Bottoms are additional studded with an embossed sample of scattered letter branding drawn by artist Masanao Hirayama. The pairs arrive in “White” and “Black” shade choices with the lighter pairs that includes a two-toned strap.
