Sexyy Red The rapper is speaking out following a shooting that occurred near a video production in Florida, on Thursday (September 14,) which left one person dead and two others injured. The rapper claims that the shooting is not related to her recording of a video. Sukihana.

Florida outlet Local 10 Reports indicate that around 8 pm local time, gunfire broke out in Oakland Park. Oakland Park is located north of Fort Lauderdale. Sexxy Red and Sukihana had been filming at the Oakland Park Flea Market Mall when the incident occurred. The first victim was discovered near the mall while the second was found in a gas station nearby.

“All we just hear is ‘bop, bop, bop, bop.’ Everybody start running, everybody start running — I’m like, ‘damn.’ Everybody started running, bumping into each other— it was just crazy,” one witness shared with the news outlet.

The authorities found that one victim was already dead, and that the other had been rushed to the hospital. Police in the area are still investigating and using footage from local surveillance cameras to crack the case.

Sexxy Red posted a message on Instagram via Stories, and expressed condolences for the victims.

“I send my condolences to the family of the man who lost his life and prayers up for the person who was wounded.”

Sexxy Red went on to clarify that the shooting actually took place at the gas station across the mall and any attempts to make the St. Louis rapper the blame for the incident won’t stand.
