Tomb Raider lovers rejoice! Fans are already excited to see the much-needed remake of the iconic 1990s action-adventure title. Crystal Dynamics announced yesterday at the Nintendo Direct event that a new remastering collection featuring Tomb Raiders I-III will be released in early 2019. The collection includes expansions and hidden levels.

While the game is officially available for Switch, non Nintendo gamers do not need to worry. Crystal Dynamics The remaster is also coming to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, under the rather catchy title: ‘Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft’.
The remaster also includes updated versions for the Unfinished Business and Gold Mask expansions (Tomb Raider 1, 2), as well The Lost Artifact expansion of Tomb Raider 3.
Updated visuals (courtesy AspyrIt includes improved textures, character designs and dynamic lighting while maintaining the charm of original games. For players who don’t get on with the updated graphics, an option to seamlessly switch between the original and updated versions will be available – so don’t worry, Miss Croft will still be available in her full polygonal glory.
The remaster boasts a number of improvements to the quality of life, including improved joystick controls that allow players to switch between traditional and modern control schemes.
The remastered collection is set to release on 14 February 2024 – a great way to spend your Valentine’s Day, if you ask me. It will retail for $30 (£25) and is available for pre-purchase on Steam now.
